We invite you to a time of learning, listening, and reflecting on the topic of "Racism, Racial Injustice, Reconciliation and the Gospel-Centered Renewal". We will hear from Rev. Taehoo Lee, who lived in the inner city of Philadelphia since 2003, among primarily African American neighborhoods as a Korean American, and from Rev. Fred Harvey, who is the lead pastor of Spirit and Truth Fellowship in Philadelphia. Spirit and Truth Fellowship Church was founded by Manny Ortiz who passed away a few years ago with Sue Baker. Spirit and Truth Fellowship is a multi-ethnic congregation in primarily Hispanic and African American urban neighborhoods.
You will hear the painful history of this country, listen to the stories of injustice, and reflect what it means to live out the gospel in the current context. Please join us!
Taehoo Lee is an ordained pastor and is responsible for an outreach ministry in North Philadelphia which provides an after school program during the school year and a summer camp for the neighborhood children. Living in that community, Taehoo takes time to minister to his neighbors. At Spirit and Truth, he assists in preaching, teaching adult classes, and providing pastoral care.
