Qualification 자격 요건

A classis may approve the use of the KIM program for individuals who fit the following criteria:

• The minister has received a call from a CRC congregation and has received the recommendation of that church’s CMLT (Classis Ministerial Leadership Team).

• The minister has submitted forms 1-6 (stage one) from the Article 8 Process Guide.

• The minister is not proficient enough in English to engage meaningfully in the MEPMC coursework* at Calvin Theological Seminary (If the minister has proved an ability to successfully complete other post-graduate-level studies in English, the MEPMC is the appropriate learning plan).

• The minister has had an initial interview with the Candidacy Director and a Korean member of the Candidacy Committee.

 

노회는 다음 기준에 부합하는 사역자에 한해 KIM 프로그램 수강을 승인할 수 있습니다:

• 해당 목회자가 CRC 지역 교회로부터 청빙을 받았고, 해당 노회 영입위원회(CMLT)의 추천을 받은 경우

• 교회헌법 제8조 가입 절차의 1단계 서식(Forms 1-6)을 제출한 경우

• 칼빈신학교에서 영어로 진행되는 MEPMC 과정*을 원활히 이수할 만큼 영어가 능숙하지 않은 경우 (만약 영어로 대학원 수준의 학업을 성공적으로 마친 이력이 증명된다면, MEPMC 과정이 적합한 교육 계획이 됩니다.)

• 교단 영입인준 위원회 디렉터(Candidacy Director) 및 한인 위원과 1차 면접을 마친 경우

Once stage one of the article 8c process has been completed and the minister/classis has been notified by the Candidacy Director that they have approval to proceed with the learning plan, the minister may officially begin the KIM program.

 

교회헌법 제8조 c항 절차의 1단계가 완료되고, 교단 영입인준 위원회 디렉터로부터 교육 계획 진행 승인 통보를 받으면, 해당 목회자는 공식적으로 KIM 프로그램을 시작할 수 있습니다.

* The MEPMC program is the standard learning plan for all ordained ministers entering the CRC. Courses include CRC Polity, CRC History, Reformed Creeds and Confessions, Reformed Hermeneutics, Gospel Preaching and Communication

Program Contents 프로그램 주요 내용

• A curriculum of independent study that is to be completed with a KIM program mentor, assigned by the Candidacy Committee. This curriculum can be completed at the minister’s own pace. It can be accessed through a document that the Candidacy Director will share with the minister/mentor once stage one has been completed. Subjects covered: CRC Polity, CRC History, Reformed Hermeneutics, Reformed Confessions, Christian Reformed Worldview and Distinctives, CRCNA Ministries

• A 3-day in-person event in Grand Rapids, MI, in which the minister will receive further orientation and develop connections with professors at Calvin Theological Seminary and denominational staff members. [Register here]
   

• 멘토링 중심의 독립 연구 과정: 교단 영입인준 위원회가 배정하는 KIM 프로그램 멘토와 함께 독립 연구 커리큘럼을 진행합니다. 이 과정은 사역자의 형편과 속도에 맞춰 진행할 수 있습니다. 1단계 절차가 완료되면 영입인준위 디렉터가 지원자 및 멘토에게 관련 문서를 공유하며, 이를 통해 다음 과정을 진행할 수 있습니다. 다루는 과목: CRC 교회정치, CRC 역사, 개혁주의 성경해석학, 개혁주의 신앙고백, 개혁주의 세계관과 특징, CRC 사역

Cost Breakdown 비용 내역 및 분담

​

The costs of the KIM program may be shared between the minister, church and classis so the minister should initiate conversation with the calling church council and the CMLT of classis about potential funding.

 

• $1,000 registration fee paid to the CRCNA (covers cost of mentorship + food/accommodations for the KIM event)

• $280 registration for two video courses offered by Calvin Seminary. Payment can be made directly to the seminary through the registration page (link will be shared with the minister/mentor through the curriculum document sent by the Candidacy Director)

• Travel expenses – the cost of airfare or mileage to Grand Rapids, MI should also be anticipated

KIM 프로그램 비용은 지원자 개인, 청빙 교회, 그리고 노회가 서로 분담할 수 있습니다. 따라서 청빙 교회의 카운실 및 노회의 영입위원회(CMLT)와 사전에 비용 지원에 관한 논의를 시작하시길 권장합니다.
